When Kirk and his wife Kanique moved to the Huntsville area, they knew that their annual tradition of taking family photos had to continue. It’s a custom that the couple takes pride in and their children have grown to love the photo sessions too! Kirk and I are classmates from college so when he contacted me to be their photographer for this year’s session, I was honored!
When we met for our planning consultation in their home, they showed me their beautiful wedding photos along with the images they’d done annually since the children were babies. I could literally see their children grow before my eyes and I was excited to be paired up with a family that treasures art and family portraiture. The previous year’s portraits gave me a glimpse into the story of their family, their style and their love for international travel.
One the day of the session, although it was cloudy and overcast, we started shooting at the scheduled time. About 20 minutes into the session, the sun made her presence known and we were able to capture these beautiful images right in front of their lovely home! Aren’t their two precious kids adorable? They were so easy and made the photo session fun and easy-going! Enjoy this little taste of their amazing session!
